Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy

December 8, 2015-November 20, 2016

In the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy the pope has
symbolically called on the entire global Roman Catholic Church
to reflect his message of compassion and pardon. This Holy Year of
Mercy will begin on December 8 to commemorate both the Feast of the
Immaculate Conception and the 50th anniversary of the closing of the Second
Vatican Council, which called the Church to proclaim the Gospel to the world in new ways, bringing God’s mercy to everyone. The end date, November 20th, 2016, is the Solemnity of Christ the King. Please visit Paulist Press’s page on the Extraordinary Year of Mercy for suggestions on how to make the most of this unusual spiritual opportunity.
