Wisdom from the Cells contains testimonies for each week of the liturgical year (specifically Cycle B, though the reflections are universally applicable) written by men in prison, many of whom are serving life sentences. Collin Martin Price, SJ, entered the USA West province of the Society of Jesus in 2018 and studied at Loyola University Chicago. He worked as a retreat director with Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative (JRJI) in Los Angeles from 2023 to 2025, leading monthly Ignatian retreats inside California state prisons.
