Thomas Groome
Thomas Groome is professor of Theology and Religious Education at Boston College. Groome’s areas of expertise are Catholic and religious education, issues of the Catholic Church and society; religion and politics; the papacy; pastoral ministry, spiritual practices. He is the author of numerous books including two Paulist Press books, Horizons & Hopes: The Future of Religious Education (September 2003) and Faith for the Heart: A "Catholic" Spirituality (June 2019).
In his book, Faith for the Heart, Thomas Groome invites the reader to enter more deeply into the rich treasury of the spiritual resources of the Church’s faith, practice, and traditions. Our hunger for God draws us to community in church. Groome draws on multiple resources, from the scriptures to church documents and writings of holy men and women, to restore hope and draw those who have left back into community.
