Richard Viladesau is a Professor Emeritus of Theology at Fordham University, New York. Born in 1944, he was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood in 1969. He received his doctorate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome. He has served as a seminary professor and parish administrator. His academic interests center in philosophical theology, including the relation of aesthetics to religion. He has published several volumes of homilies, a five-volume study of the Passion of Christ in theology and the arts, and numerous theological and pastoral articles.
