Breaking Open the Mysteries
Initiation, Preaching, and Catechesis for Lent, Holy Week, and the Triduum
This work entails a brief commentary on the season of Lent, including Holy Week, and Triduum. It will include reflection questions that invite conversion of heart as well as brief exercises for catechists to use in their ministry. It will cover the weeks of the season including the sacramental symbols that give us our Catholic identity. The format will be situated within the Emmaus adult learning model that draws from human experience, an understanding of that experience that assists in applying meaning to the person's experience, presentation of the tradition/insights/exegesis of the Scriptures, liturgies, and symbols as well as critical reflection on the insights, and decision for transformation.
